报告摘要:

    Secure Multiparty computations (MPC) are basic cryptographic protocols that allow a group of mutually distrusting parties to evaluate a function for their private inputs in such a way that the group knows the outcome of the computation while their inputs stay private. In this talk, we give a survey of the-state-of-art in secure MPC.

    In addition, I will also give a brief introduction of the PhD program in Division of Mathematical Sciences at Nanyang Technological University (about 15 minutes).

报告人简介:

    Wang Huaxiong received a PhD in Mathematics from University of Haifa, Israel in 1996 and a PhD in Computer Science from University of Wollongong, Australia in 2001. He Joined NTU in 2006 and is currently an associate professor in the Division of Mathematical Sciences. Prior to that, he held positions in several universities, including Macquarie University, Australia; City University, Hong Kong; University of Wollongong, Australia, National University of Singapore, Kobe University, Japan.

    His research interests include cryptography, information security, coding theory, combinatorics and theoretical computer science. He was on the editorial boards of Designs, Codes and Cryptography (2006 -2011), and is currently on the editorial boards of International Journal of Foundations of Computer Science and Journal of Communications (JCM).
