报告摘要:

Involving users in the software development process is claimed to have a positive impact on the success of that software. However, previous studies of this topic have produced conflicting results. We have explored this concept by performing a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) using the guidelines provided in the Evidence Based Software Engineering (EBSE). In this talk, I will describe the philosophy of, and guidance for, the EBSE approach. I will then use our recent study of user involvement in software development as an example of how to follow EBSE guidelines when conducting a systematic literature review. Finally, I will share with you some of the interesting findings of this study.

报告人简介:

Dr. Didar Zowghi is Professor of Software Engineering and the Director of the research centre for Human-Centred Technology Design at the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS). Her research in the last 18 years has focused on improving software development processes and the quality of their products. In particular, her research addresses issues and challenges in the communication rich, multidisciplinary activities of software and systems development, known as Requirements Engineering. She has also conducted and supervised empirical field studies in Global Software Development, IT adoption, software testing and software process improvement. She has received competitive research grants of over AUD $3 million and has supervised many PhD students. Professor Zowghi is a member of the program committee of many national and international conferences including IEEE International Conference on Requirements Engineering (and was its General Chair in 2010), CAiSE, REFSQ, APSEC, REFSQ and ACM SAC. Since 1998 she has been the regional editor of the Requirements Engineering Journal (REJ), and on the editorial board of JRPIT, IJISMD and IET Software. She has published over 120 research articles in peer-reviewed books, journals and conferences.
